Technical Instructor for (ICELS)

Job summary

We have an opportunity for an additional Technical Instructor Band 4 to join the ICELS Clinical Team as part of the Active Recall function.

The key focus of the role is active recall of community equipment, contacting and visiting people to review the equipment they have on loan and arranging for collection of equipment no longer required.

You will also arrange repairs of faulty equipment, liaise with Medequip to plan outstanding maintenance and refer people to relevant services for a reassessment of their needs.

This is a permanent part-time post of 18.5 hours per week and there is flexibility to agree how these hours will be worked across Monday to Friday. The ICELS office is based at the Medequip depot in Glen Parva, however the team has a hybrid working approach, mainly working from home but attending the office regularly for team meetings and training.

We are a jointly funded service, managed on behalf of Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland Local Authorities and the NHS Integrated Care Board. Leicester City Council is the host organisation for the service; however all clinical posts are hosted by LPT to maintain clinical competencies.
