Role summary
This role is for a Project Manager within the Business Development Team of the Specialist Care Group. The successful candidate will manage and support various projects, including service mobilisations, business developments, and tender submissions. It involves coordinating teams, tracking actions, and delivering real projects across services in England. The position requires someone organised, collaborative, and ready to develop their career in project management.
Key responsibilities
- Independently manage a range of projects and provide project support to large/complex projects to deliver change and service improvements.
- Engage effectively with Services within the Specialist Care Group, wider Trust Care Groups and corporate team leads to ensure effective delivery of programmes and projects.
- Support the development of bids/tenders and implementation of new service developments.
- Manage the planning and execution of multiple projects.
- Build positive relationships through excellent communication and engagement with Stakeholders.
- Ensure projects remain on track by management of project actions and through the identification (and mitigation) of risks and issues.
Essential criteria
- Project Management qualification i.e. Prince2/Agile/MSP
- Experience of managing a project to successful delivery
- Significant experience of supporting project teams within a project or programme environment
- Experience in monitoring and reporting on project or programme progress in a variety of ways including standard reporting tools
- Experience of supporting the development of bids/tenders
- Comprehensive skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications including MS Project, Powerpoint, Word, Excel
- Knowledge and understanding of programme and project management structures and governance
- Ability to keep accurate and up to date project documentation to report progress and assurance
Desirable criteria
- Quality Improvement training or qualification
- Benefits Management training
- Experience of business planning
- Experience of group facilitation and management of multiple stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are delivered
- Knowledge of Specialist Care Group services and understanding of NHS systems, applications and processes
