Role summary
This role is for a detail-focused Antenatal and Newborn Screening Failsafe Officer, responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of screening operations. You will maintain databases, identify deviations from expected pathways, and ensure accurate records are kept. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to make critical decisions. It is a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering ongoing training and development within a supportive team.
Essential criteria
- Good general standard of literacy and numeracy
- To undertake PAS training
- Previous clerical work including data input and use of spreadsheets
Desirable criteria
- Experience in NHS or customer service organisation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- IT skills - accurate data input
- Customer care skills
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality
- Attitude, aptitude
- Flexible - able to multi-task and prioritise
