Role summary
The Nightingale Centre is seeking full or part-time Mammographers to join their breast radiology team. The role involves providing well woman screening mammography to National Standards on mobile and static units, as well as assisting with family history screening, assessment, follow-up, and symptomatic mammography. Qualified mammographers will also supervise and train students and trainee Mammographers. A flexible approach to work, including weekend and evening sessions, is required.

- Clinical experience in general imaging
- Sound knowledge of IRMER and IR99

Job summary
The Nightingale Centre, has vacancies for full/part -time Mammographers to join their friendly and busy breast radiology multi-professional team. We offer a modern diagnostic and treatment service across both the Nightingale Centre and NMGH. MFT also co-ordinate's the NHS breast screening program (NHSBSP) for the Manchester area. The Nightingale Centre is an NHSBSP National Training Centre and is home to the National Breast Imaging Academy (NBIA).
Our department is committed to Radiographer role extension and CPD. We have Advanced Practitioners undertaking stereo interventional procedures and film-reading, Mammography Associates performing screening and symptomatic mammography, plus Clinical Expert Radiographer's specialising in advanced breast imaging.
The Manchester BSP covers a wide geographical area, It is essential you are willing to travel to all screening sites.
A flexible approach to work will be required as weekend and evening sessions are often scheduled to meet the demands of the expanding screening population and symptomatic workload.
You must have HCPC registration as a Radiographer and a UK resident.A Postgraduate Award in Mammography is preferable, although training will be considered for the right applicant (Band 5 whilst in training).
