Role summary
This role is for a skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Home Treatment Team within crisis and urgent care services. You will conduct rapid response assessments, develop care plans, and deliver short-term therapeutic interventions. The role involves working across a 24-hour shift rota, providing support to individuals in acute mental health crisis to help them remain at home. You will also provide leadership and supervision to junior staff and contribute to service development.
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration
- Significant post-registration experience in community mental health services
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post qualifying professional development in an acute setting
- Experience of working with individuals in mental health crisis, including risk assessment and care planning
- Evidence of post qualifying professional development in an acute setting
- Good knowledge of resources and working practices across health and social care
- Ability to be innovative in practice
- Additional Criteria
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with patients, carers and professionals about complex or distressing issues.
- Ability to travel round Trust area to fulfil the requirements of the role
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and work independently under pressure.
- Commitment to high standards of compassionate, recovery-focused care, with a values-driven approach that supports equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Good knowledge of resources and working practices across health and social care
- Ability to be innovative in practice
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including experience of leading, delegating and supporting junior staff.

Our friendly and dynamic Home Treatment Team is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurses. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred care in the community.
You'll work across both the Home Treatment and First Response Services, responding to individuals in acute mental health crisis and providing care and support that helps people remain at home and avoid unnecessary hospital admission.

This role will involve flexible working across a 24-hour shift rota (days and night shifts) in a 7 day a week service
