Role summary
This role is for a dynamic and dedicated Physiotherapist to join the Cardiac Rehabilitation team in Carmarthenshire. The post-holder will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and managing their own patient caseload. They will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to deliver group and individual exercise, education programmes, assessments, and telephone reviews. The role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, devising evidence-based treatment plans, and leading exercise sessions to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
Essential criteria
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Relevant postgraduate qualification or evidence of study at postgraduate level
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge relevant to the clinical area
- Evidence of relevant post-registration continuing professional development.
Desirable criteria
- Practice educator or clinical education qualification.
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Active involvement in specialist professional groups
- Post-registration experience within a relevant clinical specialty
- Experience of managing a diverse/complex caseload using advanced clinical reasoning skills
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working
- Experience of risk assessment and clinical decision-making
- Experience of supervising, supporting or developing staff, students or support workers
- Experience of contributing to clinical governance, audit or service improvement activities
- Experience of service development or redesign
- Experience of student education and placement supervision
- Experience of NHS working.

- Flexible approach to meet service needs, including participation in extended hours, seven-day and on-call services where required
- Ability to travel between sites and throughout the community in a timely manner
- Commitment to ongoing professional development

The post-holder will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment, manage their own patient caseload with the support and mentoring of senior physiotherapists and nurses.
