Role summary
This full-time role involves providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Trust's clinical effectiveness agenda. The manager will ensure robust governance in clinical audit and NICE guidance implementation to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Key responsibilities
- Actively manage the Clinical Effectiveness & Audit Agenda across the Group.
- Ensure the Group adheres to current policies and guidelines, updating them in line with national guidance.
- Support clinical teams in identifying quality improvements from clinical audit recommendations and generate reports.
- Implement and audit compliance with national and local clinical standards and guidelines, including NICE.
- Oversee and line manage the Group Clinical Effectiveness Team in delivering their project portfolio.
- Provide effective leadership and professional advice to all Group staff on clinical effectiveness, quality improvement, and audit.
Essential criteria
- Management or Professional qualification at postgraduate level or equivalent relevant experience.
- Evidence of ongoing learning and development
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Windows based applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills including accurate records management
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to extract and analyse complex data from business management IT systems and databases.
- Good understanding of quality improvement processes.
- Experience of working within a Clinical Effectiveness role including clinical audit both local and national.
- Demonstrable track record of achievement in a senior clinical role.
- Line management experience.
- Experience of managing staff as part of a team
- Extensive experience of working with business management IT systems and databases.
- Understanding of and commitment to the Trust's values
- Self-motivated and committed to improving the quality and safety of healthcare services within the Trust.
Desirable criteria
- Qualified to Masters level or equivalent experience
- Formal training in complaints management
- Knowledge of information governance regulations and requirements as they relate to healthcare service providers.
- Experience of working at senior level in the NHS.
- An understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to the delivery of healthcare services in an acute hospital Trust.

Job summary
The Clinical Effectiveness Manager is a full-time (1.0 WTE) post with responsibility for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Trust's clinical effectiveness agenda. Main duties of the job
