Role summary
This is an opportunity for an Administrator to join the District Nursing Service in Enfield. The role involves providing administrative support to busy district nursing teams and working in a referrals office, taking calls from the public and processing referrals from hospitals and GP surgeries. The successful candidate will need good knowledge of patient information systems, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a team. Travel around the borough will be required.
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Business administration or customer care, or equivalent experience
- Experience of clinic and/or reception work
- Managing busy workload and conflicting priorities

- Handling confidential and sensitive information in accordance with the Data Protection Act
- Skills and aptitudes
- Demonstrates excellent intrapersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise a number of activities and continually reprioritise to meet tight, conflicting and often changing deadlines
- Personal Qualities & attributes

An opportunity has arisen for Administrators in the District Nursing Service working in the borough of Enfield.
Candidates will be prepared to travel around the borough providing administrative support to busy district nursing teams, as well as also being part of a busy district nursing referrals office taking calls from the public, processing referrals from hospitals and GP surgeries around the borough.

Main duties of the job
- To take referrals and messages ensuring they are logged and passed on to the appropriate clinician in line with indicative urgency. To liaise with patients and their carers, relatives, Social Services, members of the Primary Healthcare Team and any other agencies as appropriate, maintaining confidentiality and treating all situations with sensitivity and tact.
