Role summary

Key responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and environmental safety within the Churchill Intensive Care Unit in line with Trust and infection control policies.
- Act as a senior point of contact for housekeeping and environmental issues, liaising with relevant teams as required.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and carry out environmental checks and audits.
- Support service improvements and quality initiatives within the unit.
- Ensure appropriate use and availability of general stocks and supplies.
- Escalate risks or concerns in accordance with Trust procedures.
Essential criteria
- Literate, articulate and numerate. Effective use of spoken English
- Knowledge of COSHH and Infection Control
- Basic computer skills
- Able to manage own time effectively and completing jobs
- Demonstrable motivation and enthusiasm for the job
- Able to motivate others, is perceptive and sensitive to others needs
- Flexible and adaptable in his/her work to situations
Desirable criteria
- Experience in the acute NHS
- Previous experience managing communication and escalation issues
- Understanding of the all the roles within the clinical environment
