Role summary

Key responsibilities

Essential criteria
- BSc (Hons) Audiology from an accredited University or possess equivalent qualifications, skills and knowledge.
- Be registered with an appropriate registration body.
- In depth knowledge and experience of assessment techniques and rehabilitation programmes.
- In depth knowledge of assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation.
- Knowledge and skills of assessment tools relevant to audiological diagnosis.
- Ability to communicate clearly with hearing impaired people of all ages and their families.
- Skills in assessment and rehabilitation of patients with deafness.
- Diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work alone.
- Computer literate.
- Welsh Speaker (Level 1) or willingness to work towards achieving this level.
- Significant experience in Audiology.
- Flexibility.
- Able to prioritise own tasks and workload.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to travel between UHB sites and locations in a timely manner.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Paediatric and Adult standards.
- Welsh Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above.
- Experience in Paediatric Audiology.
