Role summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Chief Cardiac Physiologist with experience in performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) to join our expanding service. The role involves contributing to all aspects of the echocardiography service, including subspecialty expertise development. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent clinical competence and knowledge in echocardiography, acting as a positive role model. Job Summary: Band 7 Chief Cardiac Physiologist - Echocardiography. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience in performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) to join our expanding service and develop their knowledge and skills.
To be successful in this post you must be capable of providing an excellent level of clinical competence and knowledge in echocardiography and be a team player. The post holder should also be a positive role model and possess good communication, organisational and assertiveness skills.
Applicants should have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent and at least 2 years postgraduate experience in performing and reporting TTE independently, together with British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Level 2 Adult TTE Accreditation (or equivalent). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the echocardiography service, including development of subspecialty expertise as appropriate.
