Key responsibilities
- Work within Trust policies and protocols, ensuring team members adhere to guidelines.
- Maintain effective communication and working relationships within the team and with other healthcare professionals.
- Be responsible for the maintenance and development of own clinical skills and PREP requirements, including mandatory training.
- Possess midwifery skills to undertake care for a caseload of women across all stages of pregnancy, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Provide total care to women in liaison with other team members and support the development of midwifery practice.
- Assume responsibility for the safe custody and administration of drugs in accordance with Trust Policies.

Job summary
To work as a member of a small team of midwives providing the full continuity of carer pathway for women and their families.
This post is for a Band 6 midwife, preferably with 2 years experience, to work in both community and the intrapartum settings providing continuity of carer to women through an on-call service.
Main duties of the job
1.To work within the policies and protocols of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust and enable all members of the midwifery team to carry out care within these guidelines.
