Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic OT team within Woking Neighbourhood Mental Health Services. The role offers a Band 5 to 6 development pathway or a direct Band 6 position, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth. You will deliver individual and group OT interventions, including specialized programs like Occupation Matters and Recovery through Occupation. Key responsibilities
- Provide high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions (group and individual).
- Communicate effectively with people who access services, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies.
- Contribute to the generic functioning of the team.
- Contribute to occupational therapy student placements.
- Participate in service development and audits.
- Take on the role of lead professional as appropriate.
Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent
- Experience working with people with mental health and or Learning Disabilities (can be pre-qualification)
- Knowledge of occupational frames of reference and approaches
- Knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
- Knowledge of the impact of health and disability on occupational performance, participation and identity
- Interest and skills in specialist area
- Subject to reasonable adjustments in respect of any disability, candidates must possess a valid driving licence and be able to drive and have the unrestricted use of a car or motorcycle for work at all times including community based work.
Desirable criteria
- Band 6 - Additionally Completion of Fieldwork educators' course
- Band 6- Experience of contributing to service development/project work

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy (OT) team within Woking Neighbourhood Mental Health Services. We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join us on a Band 5 to 6 Development post or Band 6 OT depending on experience, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and career progression. We offer innovative ways of delivering OT within the NW sector. The post will include delivering both individual and group OT interventions offering a clear care pathway, these interventions include:
