Role summary
This role is for a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) in Health Visiting within an integrated skill-mixed team, part of the 0-19 Universal Health Service in Blackburn with Darwen. The post holder will lead on delivering the Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years and local requirements, providing family-centred, evidence-based public health services. The aim is to proactively improve health outcomes for a defined caseload, population, or community, reducing health inequalities by working in partnership with families, communities, and other professionals. Safeguarding is a key component, ensuring safe and effective risk management for children, young people, and families.

- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN-Health Visitor)

- Experience of managing or leading staff
- Evidence of Continued professional Development
- Degree level qualification V100/V300 prescribing
- Experience of multi-agency and partnership working Experience of delivering health promotion or public health programmes
- Good understanding of the healthy child programme 0-5 Healthy Child Programme
- Child and adult safeguarding knowledge/experience
- IT Skills
- Access to a vehicle for work - Able to comply with the travel requirements of the posts
