Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Registered Nurse in Learning Disability (RNLD) to join the Child and Adolescent Learning Disability Service (CALDS) as a Team Lead. The role involves providing clinical, operational, and strategic oversight to a specialist multidisciplinary team, focusing on supporting vulnerable children and young people during crises. The successful candidate will lead on risk assessment, crisis planning, and contribute to service development and quality improvement. They will work with CYP and their families, delivering individualised and evidence-based care.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse - Learning Disability (RNLD) oEvidence of current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. oMaster's Degree or working towards

- Teaching & Assessing Certificate Qualification oChild Branch qualification
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary /multi agency context. oPost registration experience of working with children and young people. oExperience/knowledge of community working. oExperience of working with individuals with complex health needs and those with challenging behaviour. oExperience of working with families. oExperience in writing practice policies/ protocols/guidelines
- Experience in writing practice policies, protocols & guidelines. oDemonstrate experience of change management.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to liaise with all disciplines/agencies. oAbility to assess children and young people with Learning Disabilities and develop and monitor care plans. oAbility to work within a complex system. oDemonstrate good teaching and assessing skills. oKnowledge of local, regional and national policies pertaining to practice. oMulti-disciplinary working oParticipation in the development and implementation of policies and practice. oAbility to priorities workload and manage competing demands oAbility to demonstrate a good knowledge of professional boundaries, and the ability to make decisions in accordance with your professional Code of Conduct.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Registered Nurse in Learning Disability (RNLD) to join the established CALDS (Child and Adolescent Learning Disability Service) which is a community based multi-disciplinary team within the Children, Young People (CYP) and Family Health Service. We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced clinician to join our service in a Team Lead role for our tertiary response pathway (called Cyfuno). This is a key leadership role, providing clinical, operational, and strategic oversight to a specialist multidisciplinary team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that vulnerable children and young people receive timely, coordinated, and effective support during periods of crisis.
