Role summary
Join the Neuro Rehabilitation Team as a Band 6 Physiotherapist, working across an 8-bed inpatient unit and 10 virtual community-based beds. You will provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients with complex neurological physiotherapy problems, helping them achieve independence and transition back home. The role involves working within a supportive multidisciplinary team and contributing to service development. This is an opportunity to develop clinical skills in neurological rehabilitation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex physiotherapy problems as an autonomous practitioner.
- Undertake line management responsibility for staff within the service area.
- Actively support the Team Leader and Clinical Lead in operational management and service developments.
- Provide clinical education and training.
- Be responsible for specific projects or initiatives contributing to service delivery.
- Provide information to the Senior Management Team.

- Appropriate demonstrable experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in a broad range of areas especially adequate relevant experience in Neurological physiotherapy specialty
- Extensive experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of networking within physiotherapy and in the wider Health & Social Care community
- Experience in clinical audit, research and effectiveness
- Clinical education and development of physiotherapy staff and other members of the MDT
- Diploma/degree in physiotherapy
- Current registration with the Health Professional Council
- Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses
Desirable criteria
- Access to transport and the ability to travel within the required geographical area
- Experience in undertaking personal development appraissal
- Leadership experience
- Involvement in physiotherapy projects/working groups
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiiotherapy
- Management/leadership courses
- Relevant M Level post-graduate modules
