Role summary

This part-time fixed-term Band 7 post is for a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist within the Integrated Paediatric Therapy Team. The role involves providing highly specialised assessment and intervention for children aged 0-19 years with diverse conditions across various settings in Poole, Bournemouth, and East Dorset. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and participate in a rota for weekend, on-call, and twilight cover to paediatric wards. This is an opportunity to utilise specialist skills, receive structured supervision, and contribute to high-quality, child-centred care.

Essential criteria

  • Diploma or Degree in physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered

Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate training in paediatrics
  • Post graduate experience at a senior level in physiotherapy
  • NHS experience
  • Assessment and treatment of infants and children 0-19 years with complex neurodevelopmental disabilities
  • Acting as a clinical service lead for an area of work, project, or audit
  • Experience of working in other areas of physiotherapy with transferable skills to paediatrics e.g. MSK, respiratory, neurology
