Role summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Digital and Informatics Team as a Chief Technician, ePMA. The role involves maintaining, developing, and optimising the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system to improve prescribing and patient safety. Essential criteria

  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical services (or equivalent)
  • Registered with the GPHC

  • Additional qualifications or training in digital health or IT systems
  • Experience and Skills
  • Previous NHS Hospital Pharmacy
  • Good understanding of medicines optimisation and the role of digital systems in improving patient safety

  • Proven ability to master new systems rapidly
  • Knowledge of professional code of conduct and guidance issued by the GPhC

Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician with a passion for digital healthcare, who is looking to take their next career step and join us as a Chief Technician, ePMA .

As part of our established Pharmacy Digital and Informatics Team, you'll help us maintain, develop and optimise the EPMA system, working with colleagues from across the Trust to improve prescribing and patient safety.

You'll work with a broad range of people along the way. Supporting colleagues individually and delivering training to larger groups, to contributing to multidisciplinary discussions, digital projects and system developments, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships across different professions and specialties.

We're looking for someone who can explain things clearly, find creative ways to make training engaging and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when problems needs solving.
