Role summary
This role is for an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist, or Arts Psychotherapist to join the Complex Psychological Interventions Service in Bristol. You will work two days a week with the Central Bristol Crisis Team, providing rapid assessment, intervention, and treatment for people experiencing acute mental health crises in their homes or community. The position involves direct clinical work, consultation, clinical supervision, reflective practice, and contributing to a psychologically informed service. You will also support training and development for the wider staff team.
Essential criteria
- Degree and Masters level qualification, or equivalent o Doctoral Clinical Psychologist/ Counselling Psychology qualification, qualification as a Psychotherapist or Arts Psychotherapist or Psychological Therapists at an accredited training institution or equivalent professional qualification.
- HCPC Registration, professional registration as an adult Psychotherapist, Arts Psychotherapist or Clinical Psychologist with UKCP, or other relevant body.
- Experience of working with a wide range of individuals with complex mental health problems
- Experience of developing and delivering training to support multidisciplinary teams and others as appropriate
- Experience of offering clinical supervision and/ or facilitating reflective practice sessions for multidisciplinary staff
- Experience of multidisciplinary working within an adult mental health NHS setting including consultation in case discussions, and team meetings.
- In-depth Knowledge of at least one therapeutic model

- Knowledge and experience of working with two or more therapeutic models
- Experience of working psychologically with people in acute levels of distress
- Experience of working with adults across the lifespan
- Experience of leadership and/ or service development within NHS services.

Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist, or Arts Psychotherapist to join our established Complex Psychological Interventions Service in Bristol. The Bristol Crisis Services operates across North, South, and Central Bristol.
