Role summary

An experienced Band 6 MRI Radiographer is sought to join the Radiology department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves working within the MRI team across various service sites, undertaking a variety of MRI scanning work. The position is part of a collaborative initiative for the Community Diagnostic Hub program, with an expectation of future collaborative working across the Tees Valley.

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of good general experience in MRI scanning and knowledge of a wide variety of MRI scanning, techniques, and protocols.
  • Evidence of active CPD
  • Comply with MHRA MRI safety guidelines.

Desirable criteria

  • Trained in IV cannulation.
  • Experience of developing working relationships
  • Clinical Audit
  • Qualifications & Training
  • BSc or MSc Radiography or DCR(R)
  • HCPC registered
  • Manual Handling Skills - of patients and complex radiographic equipment
  • Significant post-graduation Radiography experience
  • Computer literacy
  • MRI scanning experience

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust(STHFT) for an experienced Band 6 MRI Radiographer to work within the fantastic MRI team where a variety of work is undertaken.

This post is part of the collaborative initiative of the Community Diagnostic Hub program. Although the successful candidate will be employed by STHFT, there will be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required, however this role is primarily for STHFT MRI services, the successful candidate will join the MRI rota for STHFT and work across all MRI service sites. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation.
