Role summary
This role is for a Development Recovery Worker within the No Wrong Door, Co-occurring Conditions Team, focusing on individuals with mental ill-health and substance use issues. Essential criteria
- Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent in a related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies Or Equivalent experience

- Relevant training / Qualification in associated field, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief solution focussed therapy, Mapping techniques (ITEP/BTEI)
- A commitment to recovery based interventions and harm reduction approaches for substance use and mental health conditions.

We will support you to further develop with the aim to become an experienced Recovery Worker over a 12-18 month period. You will be expected to work with a small caseload of clients who use drugs and/or alcohol from the beginning, with the aim to expand this as the role progresses.
The disconnect between services for people with co-occurring conditions of mental ill-health and substance use has long been recognised as a barrier to the effective treatment of patients in the community. Significant funding has now been allocated to make this a thing of the past
