Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gynaecological Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a supportive multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing specialist nursing support to women undergoing investigation and treatment for gynaecological cancers, acting as a key worker throughout their pathway. You will coordinate care, educate patients, manage symptoms, and support decision-making. The successful candidate will use advanced communication and clinical skills to advocate for patients and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
Essential criteria
- a.Registered Nurse Part 1, 2 or relevant section of the register.
- b.Relevant post-registration programme.
- c.Teaching/Assessment programme.
- d.Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- e.Non-medical prescribing qualification.
Desirable criteria
- f.Adult physical assessment qualification.
- g.Completed/completing master's degree.
- h.Management development programme.
- i.Leadership development programme.
- j.Advanced communication course
- a.Post registration experience working with patients receiving cancer treatments, including surgery.
- b.Prior relevant post registration experience as a CNS
- c.Experience of clinical audit, quality improvement and evaluating patient outcomes.

- a.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a complex workload.
- b.Ability to work autonomously and use initiative in managing complex patient situations
