Role summary
This role is for a Senior Medical Technologist to join the Technical Services team at the Lane Fox Respiratory Unit. The primary responsibility is to maintain, repair, and support life-supporting respiratory and ventilation equipment across various settings, including hospitals, satellite units, and patients' homes. Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Medical Technologist to join the Technical Services team at the Lane Fox Respiratory Unit. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and supporting life-supporting respiratory and ventilation equipment used across hospital wards, satellite units, and patients' homes.
The post requires hands-on technical expertise at system, component, and circuit level, including electronic fault-finding, repair, modification, and soldering, to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with regulatory and manufacturer standards.
Excellent communication skills are essential. You will work closely with patients and a wide multidisciplinary team, including consultants, nurses, and physiotherapists, providing clear technical advice and supporting the safe clinical use of complex medical devices.
The role includes community and multi-site working; therefore, a full UK driving licence is required.
