Key responsibilities

  • Manage a professional, comprehensive and efficient administration service for the Moorfields Croydon Directorate.
  • Directly line manage the outpatient clinic coordinators allocated to their sub-specialties.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader to ensure service continuity when they are absent.
  • Provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to the Trusts outpatient clinics.
  • Ensure high standards of data entry and quality are achieved and sustained across all services.
  • Book all transport and interpreting services, ensuring specific requirements are communicated in a timely manner.

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level 4 in Administration / Customer service or demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Good general education including English and maths to GCSE A-C or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing education and development
  • Experience of working in a busy and demanding customer/patient-facing role
  • Experience of managing/supervising a team and effective staff management
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of NHS outpatient targets

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in the NHS
  • Knowledge of MEH Patient Administration System (PAS) and OpenEyes
