Role summary
This is an opportunity for an experienced community nurse to join the Community Nursing Service as a Team Leader. The role involves leading a team of Community Nurses, managing day-to-day service delivery, and supporting the development of the team. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality, responsive care, implement best practice, and act as a role model for junior staff. They will also be responsible for moving the team into new models of care within the neighbourhood.
Essential criteria
- Clinical qualification to degree level or equivalent
- Training and experience in clinical management
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- State registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- 2 years experience at Band 6 in the community

You will be required to lead a team of Community Nurses and manage the day to day, on-going delivery and development of the team.
The applicant will support the leadership of the service within the structure and will provide a service that is responsive, high quality, supporting practice delivery and continually improving standards within the Clinical Governance agenda.You will work with clinical and professional leads to implement best practice and ensure the maximum utilisation of resources to benefit our patients. You will be a role model for junior staff, you will be responsible for moving the team into new models of care working with colleagues within your neighbourhood.
