Role summary
This role involves developing and delivering training programmes, with a specific focus on Learning Disability & Autism. You will work within the Education and Development Team, delivering Trust Induction, Organisational Development, and mandatory training. The position requires you to act as a role model for the Learning Disability & Autism programme, facilitating training to all Trust employees. You will also support and co-facilitate training with Experts By Experience.
Key responsibilities
- Work as an integral member of the Education and Development Team in the delivery of Trust Induction, Organisational Development (OD), Mandatory and Statutory Training.
- Role model for the Learning Disability & Autism programme, cascading training to all professional groups.
- Ensure delivery of in-service educational programmes that are customer-focused and responsive to service needs.
- Facilitate Learning Disability & Autism (OMMT) training to all Trust employees to maintain and enhance their competence.
- Support and co-facilitate the Learning Disability & Autism (OMMT) with Experts By Experience (EBE's).
Essential criteria
- Education to degree or diploma level in relevant subject or willing to work towards
- Relevant knowledge of subject(s) covered in the mandatory / core curriculum including legislation and guidance
- Fully conversant with MS Word / Excel / Access / Outlook / Powerpoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a professional telephone manner
- Good analytical and data skills with attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to respond with tact and empathy when communicating or dealing with sensitive information
- Experience of developing and delivering training and education training/ programmes
- Experience of teaching
- Experience of evaluation and quality enhancement processes
- Relevant Knowledge of subject(s) covered in the mandatory / core curriculum including legislation and guidance
Desirable criteria
- Teaching Qualification (e.g. PTLLS)
