Role summary
This role is for a Clinical Practice Educator within the Division B Education team, primarily focusing on the emergency department. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse responsible for delivering teaching and clinical education to healthcare professionals. They will work independently and collaboratively to support staff development and improve patient experience. The role involves developing education strategies and providing professional development opportunities.
Essential criteria
- Professional requirements e.g. Registered Nurse or Registered Professional or Non-registered support worker etc.
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree education or equivalent experience
- Mentoring / coaching / education qualification to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent evidence of supporting learners in practice.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Significant experience within relevant field
- Experience of educating others in a formal or informal setting
- Broad awareness of Trust initiatives/pressures The purpose of this specification is to identify the attributes required by applicants to perform the duties in the job description. The specification will be used to shortlist applicants and to compare how well candidates match the agreed specification. It will also be used by potential candidates to understand expectations and identify how their skills, behaviours and experience will be assessed.

Main duties of the job
The Division B Education team are delighted to offer this fantastic opportunity for a clinical practice educator to join our team.
We are looking for a registered nurse, who is keen to make a difference to patient experience through development of staff across Division B, with a primary focus on the emergency department.
As a Clinical Practice Educator, the successful candidates will work independently and with other education/specialist colleagues to deliver teaching and clinical education to healthcare professionals within the emergency department and across the division.
