Role summary
An exciting opportunity for a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber to join the Adult ADHD service in Cornwall. This part-time role involves taking a lead in developing the service, delivering assessment, treatment, monitoring, and support for adults with ADHD and behavioural difficulties. The post requires extensive mental health experience and highly developed assessment and risk management skills to provide excellent care.
Key responsibilities
- Take an advanced lead role in supporting the ongoing development of the Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Service.
- Deliver assessment, treatment, monitoring and support around the clinical areas of ADHD and behavioural difficulties.
- Take lead responsibility for standards of care delivery.
- Manage the caseload within the service from referral to discharge.
- Provide ADHD assessment and ongoing care to adults with ADHD across the county of Cornwall.
Essential criteria
- Hold NMC registration for independent non- medical prescriber
- Experience of assessment of mental health and risk
- Professional nursing qualification - RMN, RNLD, RNC
- Effective team player with the ability to initiate, prioritise and complete work autonomously
- Skilled at delivering advice and support in specialist area
- Can communicate and establish effective working relationships with an adult mental health client group including, young people and their families
- Ability to constructively contribute to service development and plans
- In-depth knowledge of mental health care and community services
- Flexible in approach with ability to adapt in line with the changing needs of the service

- Experience of ADHD
