Job summary

TheShropshire, Telford and Wrekin CAMHS services into a new chapter, with a range of exciting job opportunities available.

Our newly developed CAMHS GO (CAMHS Group Offer) Service will be an early intervention offer to children and young people with mild to moderate health and mental wellbeing problems.

The Mental Health Practitioner provides brief, evidence-based, and outcome-focused psychological interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Children's and Young Peoples Mental Health Service, you will conduct assessments, deliver low-intensity interventions, and support children, young people, and their families to develop practical coping skills

The role includes close collaboration with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure care is holistic, accessible, and responsive. You will work within professional and ethical guidelines, engage in regular clinical supervision, and contribute to the ongoing development of the service

You will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary

You will need to travel independently over a large geographical area and will require suitable transport
