Role summary
This role is for a Radiotherapy Pathway Coordinator within the Radiotherapy Department, offered as a part-time secondment. The successful candidate will extract, analyse, and present complex data from various sources to support performance monitoring and improve data quality. They will also contribute to reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency, and investigate data discrepancies. The position involves using software tools like SQL Server, MS Office, and Crystal Reports.
Key responsibilities
- Extract, analyse and present detailed and complex information from a range of data sources.
- Support performance monitoring and improve data quality.
- Carry out analysis and reporting tasks efficiently using appropriate software tools.
- Contribute to reporting activities, meeting agreed timescales and ensuring accuracy.
- Identify, investigate and advise on the resolution of data quality problems.
- Design and use appropriate validation mechanisms for reports.
Essential criteria
- Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception service
- Administrative experience
- Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
- Working within guidelines
- Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
- Data entry experience and documentation
- Advance use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Experience of producing documents to a high standard
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- Sound knowledge of office procedures
- Understanding of customer service
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills including telephone, email, face to face
- Ability to organise and manage own time keeping to schedule and deadlines

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Radiotherapy Department for a new team member to join us. We are offering one part time secondment (15hrs per week). This role will provide the successful candidates with an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in cancer care and radiotherapy, while contributing to the running of a busy and dynamic department.
Main duties of the job
Extract, analyse and present detailed and complex information in response to both routine and ad hoc user requirements from a range of data sources including corporate systems, departmental systems and external data sources:
To support performance monitoring;
To monitor and improve data quality;
To meet ad-hoc requests.
Carry out all analysis and reporting tasks efficiently, choosing appropriate software tools, and making full use of the technical reporting infrastructure, including SQL Server, MS Office software, Crystal Reports and other specialist reporting tools.
Contribute to reporting activities that include:
Meeting agreed timescales for producing and distributing formal external monitoring returns and electronic data sets, and associated internal monitoring reports;
Ensuing checks for accuracy and consistency are applied to all reports, and
