Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Band 7 Radiology Team Lead to join the CT department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the CT department, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality imaging services. The post holder will lead a team of radiographers, promoting excellence in patient care, service improvement, workforce development, and clinical governance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the CT team in the delivery of diagnostic and specialist CT examinations.
- Ensure the efficient day-to-day management of the service.
- Support staff development and maintain quality and governance standards.
- Drive service improvement initiatives and perform/supervise CT examinations.
- Manage the day-to-day operational running of the CT service, including staff rotas and resource utilisation.
- Lead on clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management activities within CT.
Essential criteria
- MSc, BSc Diagnostic Radiography or relevant diploma
- HCPC Registration
- Postgraduate qualification in CT imaging
- Significant post-registration experience within CT
- Demonstrable leadership/supervisory experience
Desirable criteria
- Leadership or management qualification

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Band 7 Radiology Team Leadto join our Radiology Department in CT. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic CT radiographer to provide professional, clinical, and operational leadership within a busy CT service.
As the CT Team Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the CT department, ensuring the delivery of a safe, effective, and high-quality imaging service. You will lead a team of radiographers promoting excellence in patient care, service improvement, workforce development, and clinical governance.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the day to day supervision, leadership and workflow of the CT service.
Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist CT service providing training, advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
Responsible for the team leadership of the CT service with responsibility for organising workload and staffing in that area.
Ensure operational standards are met to ensure a safe and effective service delivery.
Demonstrate effective communication with modality leads to ensure staffing levels are managed appropriately.
Responsible for leading the on-going service developme
