Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and compassionate senior neonatal nurse to join a state-of-the-art Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role involves leading and inspiring families and staff, driving individualised nursing care, transitional care, and family-integrated initiatives. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader and skilled clinician dedicated to empowering families and implementing baby-friendly practices. Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1 Adult / General Level 1 or 2)
- Degree / Diploma in Nursing studies or equivalent
- Evidence of CPD
- Evidence of Mentorship
- Qualified in speciality
- Current NLS provider
- Knowledge and skills requirement
- Substantial years post registration experience, including 1 year at Band 6 within related field
- Experience of research and audit
- Proactive problem solving
- Ability to use reflective practice
- Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership course
- Awareness of current nursing issues
- Experience of change agent/quality improvement
- IT skills
