Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and caring Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker to join the nursing team on Ward 123 at the University Hospital of North Midlands. Ward 123 is an acute older adult ward with 25 beds, offering a diverse variety of medical conditions and learning opportunities. The role involves providing clinical support within this dynamic environment.
Essential criteria
- Minimum 12 months care experience
- Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent) IELTS or OETS (Overall score of C1) accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 in Listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in Writing)
- Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or required to complete if successful once applicant commences post (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).
Desirable criteria
- Previous band 3 experience
- 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent

Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
