Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse or ODP to join our Pre-Assessment Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring patients are appropriately assessed and prepared for elective surgery, delivering high-quality patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary environment. There are several roles available within pre assessment at both LGI and St James hospitals.
Main duties of the job
The Pre-Assessment Practitioner will be responsible for assessing patients prior to surgery, identifying clinical risks, completing health assessments, and coordinating investigations required for safe surgical pathways. The post holder will work closely with surgical, anaesthetic, and allied health professional teams to optimise patients before their procedure and provide advice and support throughout their care journey.
