Role summary
This role is for a Band 6 registered Midwife to work within the core community midwifery team. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in the community, participating in an on-call rota for homebirths, and working autonomously within professional guidelines. The midwife will provide direct care to women and birthing people and their babies on a 24-hour basis. Key responsibilities

- Provide public health advice and support to promote healthy lifestyles for mother and baby.
- Manage and prioritise own workload against the needs of women and the service.

Job summary
We are looking for UK NMC band 6 registered Midwives to work within our core community midwifery team.
As a core community midwife, you are responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care provided in community within in our maternity services. Taking part of an on call rota to provide a homebirth service and escalation to the main unit. Working autonomously within guidelines and the sphere of professional practice, on a 24-hour basis, you will provide direct care to women and birthing people and their babies. You must have completed a recognised preceptorship package and be proficient as a Band 6 midwife.
The postholder will act as a role model for junior staff and support the delivery of evidence-based care while contributing to the future development of the maternity service
