Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Paediatric Audiologist to join a busy team within North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within the Paediatric Audiology team, delivering community services across Halton, St Helens, Knowsley & Warrington. The position requires an experienced Audiologist with strong knowledge of Paediatric Audiology Hearing [contact details removed], obtained within the NHS in the last two years. The role involves performing a range of clinical tests and procedures for patients aged 0-18 years, managing hearing loss, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Essential criteria
- BSc/MSc Audiology or equivalent e.g., BTEC in MPPM, BAAT Parts 1 and 2 and HNC MPPM
- Registered with AHCS/HCPC or working towards
- NHS experience to include paediatric audiometric assessment including full range of behavioural audiometric tests.
- Experience in managing infants and children with hearing loss.
- Experience in carrying out audits and surveys within a clinical set up.
- Excellent experience of paediatric hearing aid assessment, fitting and rehabilitation.
Desirable criteria
- Good experience in paediatric diagnostic tests including OAEs.
- Experience in audits and introduction of service developments.
- Skills and Attributes
- To be able to carry out a full range of paediatric audiology diagnostic tests.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- The ability to communicate sensitively and empathically.
- Excellent team player
- Ability to keep accurate and legible patient records and statistical information.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance.
- Good IT skills
- Good organisational skills

- Able to travel to peripheral clinics throughout Halton, St Helens & Knowsley and to travel across the wider Trust footprint to meet the needs of the service.

Job summary
Were seeking an enthusiastic and motivated audiologist to
join our busy team. You will be part of our Paediatric Audiology team taking
the next steps in developing great community services and ensuring that
everything we do is based around our aim of quality first and foremost.
The service is
being delivered from dedicated and purpose-built Paediatric audiology suites in
a community set up covering the boroughs of Halton, St Helens, Knowsley &
Warrington.
The applicant
must be an experienced Audiologist with a good knowledge of Paediatric
Audiology Hearing
[contact details removed]. This experience must have been obtained from working within the
NHS within the last two years. The applicant is expected to be progressing
within their career and aspiring to increase their skills and expertise in the
field.
The successful
candidate will have a BSc and/or MSc in Audiology (or equivalent) and will have
AHCS/HCPC registration with relevant post qualification experience.
