Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 3 Physiotherapy Support Worker to join the Newport Physiotherapy Team. The post will be split between acute medical inpatients (3 days) in Royal Gwent Hospital and Neurophysiotherapy Outpatients (2 days) St Woolos Hospital.

We are seeking a strong team player with excellent communication skills, displaying the ability to effectively manage time and priorities.

You will work closely with a team of registered physiotherapists and HCSW providing clinical support to patients during their acute inpatient stay, optimising functional recovery and facilitating safe discharges into the community. In Neuro Physiotherapy Outpatients you will support the registered physiotherapists delivering different exercise groups and individual patient appointments. You will also support with non clinical aspects including administration and housekeeping.

Main duties of the job

The post is predominantly clinical. Under the delegation of Physiotherapists you will support patients rehabilitation journey. There is opportunity to hold your own delegated case load of patients exercise plans.
