Role summary

This role is for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join an integrated, multi-disciplinary team in the High Peak. You will provide community assessments and goal-focused rehabilitation in bedded care facilities, patients' homes, and care homes. The position offers opportunities to develop specialist therapy assessment and treatment skills in a community setting, alongside generic skills for complex patients. Travel across the High Peak area is essential.

Essential criteria

  • HCPC registration
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Varied Band 5 clinical experience that must include a physical setting
  • Evidence of CPD

Desirable criteria

  • Band 6 experience in a relevant clinical field
  • Case management experience
  • Good understanding of the NHS and relevant national standards
  • Community and bedded care experience working with adults and older people
  • Experience of working in rapids with triage interest
  • Ability to be an autonomous practitioner
  • Commitment to the clinical development of others
  • IT skills
  • Able to work across daytime shifts and work weekends and bank holidays

We have exciting, substantive opportunities for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with a patient-centred approach and a passion for rehabilitation to work within the Community Therapy, Bedded Care Therapy and Rapid Response services with an opportunity to be involved in therapy triage.

Main duties of the job

Our integrated, multi-disciplinary team provides community assessments and goal focused rehabilitation to support patients in our Pathway 2 bedded care facilities, patient's own homes and care homes.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills of specialist therapy assessment and treatment in a community setting, alongside developing additional generic skills to provide a comprehensive assessment to a variety of complex patients.
