Role summary

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic oncology nurse to join the Breast CNS team as a Metastatic Breast CNS. The role involves providing high-standard, individualized, and holistic patient care to cancer patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. You will act as a source of information and advocate for patients and their families within the Breast MDT. Excellent training and development, along with support from the breast team, are provided.

Essential criteria

  • Minimum 5 years post registration experience in a Cancer related area

Desirable criteria

  • Good working knowledge of Breast Cancer and the treatment pathway which patients follow
  • Advanced Communication Skills
  • Ability to work alone and under pressure
  • Ability to manage complex situations both clinically and in terms of administration
  • Presentation Skills (often have to present at MDT)
  • Understanding of management of data
  • Proven clinical skills & sound knowledge base in Breast Oncology and
  • Knowledge of Cancer patient
  • Experience and ideas of how Barts Health can improve position
  • Ist Level Breast Cancer Course
  • Physical Assessment Course
  • Nurse Prescribing Course
  • Chemotherapy Course
  • Registered Nurse
  • Degree Qualification in Breast Cancer Related topic.
