Job summary
An exciting opportunity has risen to recruit a full time Band 4 as a MDT Coordinator and Patient Pathway Coordinator at the Children's Hospital Unit - Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust.
- The MDT coordinator will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary teams, providing a pro-active and facilitative clinical pathway navigation service by supporting clinical teams in ensuring that patient care is delivered in an effective and timely manner in accordance to national guidelines.
- The post holder will also provide administrative support to the children's hospital unit and provide a professional, efficient administrative service to patients.
- While the post holder will be formally identified as an MDT Coordinator and patient pathway coordinator, in recognition of their specific function within each Clinical Support Unit, this job description has been designed to function as a generic description for both roles. This is in recognition of the combined nature of the role in certain departments, and of the expectation of full cross-cover within unit teams. Local policies and processes will more closely define the day to day requirements of each role.
