Role summary

This role is for an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the newly formed Expert at Hand service in Cheshire West and Chester. You will work as a specialist consultant, providing expert advice, support, training, and intervention planning to professionals, education settings, families, and wider health and care partners. The position focuses on enabling children and young people with complex needs to achieve optimal outcomes within their everyday environments, contributing specialist OT expertise to complex case management.

  • Post-graduate experience of working with children with SEND
  • Post-graduate experience of working with children with sensory processing issues
  • Experience of leading service development
  • Experience of community based working - including education settings

  • SI training - Level 3 / equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of SEND, SEND reforms, Expert at Hand plans
  • Core OT skills to support functional skills, executive functioning
  • HCPC registered

This is a great opportunity for a specialist OT who is passionate about enabling children and young people with complex needs to achieve the best possible outcomes within their everyday environments.
