Role summary
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is seeking an experienced and highly motivated MRI Radiographer to join their expanding team. The role involves working across three hospital sites, operating 8 MR scanners, and performing a wide variety of specialist examinations. Key responsibilities

- Participate in the on-call rota for MR services.
- Perform a varied range of MR examinations, including specialist Neurological, Cardiac, vascular, MSK, GI, GU, ENT, Gynaecology, oncology, obstetric, MRI under GA, and MRI on pacemaker patients.
- Cover MRI Radiotherapy planning.
- Contribute to supporting and developing clinical trials.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Essential criteria
- CPD portfolio or relevant evidence
- DCR or BSc in Radiography
- HCPC registration
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Job summary
Sheffield Teaching hospitals are looking for a highly motivated and MR experienced Diagnostic Radiographer to join our expanding MR team. You should have proven MRI imaging skills and extensive experience in MRI.
We are fortunate enough to utilise 8 MR scanners (7x Siemens 1.5T and a Philips 3T) across 3 hospital sites, operating 7 days a week. You will be required to work flexibly - weekday /weekend and out of hour duties, we are a 7 day working department. The role includes participation in the on-call rota.
The range of MR examinations performed is extremely varied and includes specialist Neurological (including fMRI), Cardiac, vascular, MSK, GI, GU, ENT, Gynaecology, oncology, obstetric, undertake MRI under GA, whilst performing MRI on pacemakers patients and cover MRI Radiotherapy planning.
We also have a commitment towards supporting and developing clinical trials and have a dedicated MR physics team and 3D imaging Laboratory radiographers to support this. We also encourage staff development as we have 2 Advanced Clinical Practitioner roles in Cardiac stress imaging within the MRI team and Practice Educators to assist with onboarding new staff, alongside training and developing our trainee MRI Radiographers in the department.
