Job summary
Come and make a real difference by joining our dedicated nursing team on the Medlock Unit, based within the brand-new Dyson Cancer Centre at the RUH. We are looking for a kind, compassionate and motivated nurse to join our passionate, highly skilled multi-professional team. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in developing or enhancing their competency in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
Within the Medlock Unit, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge while supporting patients receiving SACT and other supportive treatments in an acute cancer setting. You will receive a tailored induction programme, including visits to adjacent areas within the department, followed by completion of the SACT Competency Passport within six months. We are committed to supporting your development within the ACCEND framework.
We are committed to supporting your ongoing development. Once established in post, you will be encouraged to shape your career direction, with a range of Cancer Care qualifications available to support both your professional progression and the evolving needs of the service.
As our service expands into the community, the role will also include supporting the SACT service at Frome Community
