Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join Brampton Community Hospital in a permanent, full-time role. You will support the provision of high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with complex needs in a community ward setting. The role involves developing clinical skills, promoting independence, facilitating hospital discharge, and managing long-term conditions. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, undertaking delegated nursing and care duties under the direction of a registered nurse, often without direct supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Work with health and social care professionals to develop multi-disciplinary, integrated care and seamless services.
- Undertake a range of delegated patient nursing and care duties, including clinical observations and recording patient information.
- Support patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
- Assess patients and implement care within the hospital setting, often without direct supervision.
- Provide advice and education to patients, carers, and colleagues, and maintain associated patient records.
- Carry out nursing procedures.
Essential criteria
- Level 3 vocational qualification or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties or Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3
- Theoretical knowledge
- Experience of a range of care and related procedures
- Clinical observations
- Knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work legislation
- National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Clinical Support worker to work at Brampton Community Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Brampton ward aims to address the challenges of an aging population and increasing demand on health and care services by providing more patient centred hospital care and empowering people to take control of their health and wellbeing. This will require new ways of working to focus on preventing ill health and ensure services are sustainable for the future.
This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to support the provision of high quality care, to support patients with complex needs within the community ward setting.
