Role summary
This role involves supervising the Logistics teams, which include post, transport, and waste services, ensuring a safe and high-quality service in line with Trust standards. The supervisor will support the Assistant Facilities Manager and Facilities Manager in delivering effective Transport services. Key duties include facilitating the collection of specimens, case notes, and patient meals, as well as coordinating staff bus services. Key responsibilities
- Oversee day to day supervision of the Logistics teams (post, transport, waste services).
- Assist and contribute to the delivery of a professional and customer focused service to all users across Trust sites.
- Work to standards laid down in Trust policies, Standing Financial Instructions and Transport legislation.
- Facilitate the collection of urgent response Specimens from Operating Theatres to Pathology Labs, Bulk Case Notes, Patients Meals, routine Specimens & Blood Products.
- Coordinate the movement of staff (Bus Services) between main and peripheral sites.

Main duties of the job
The Logistics Supervisor will oversee a safe and high-quality service in line with Trust standards and be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people internally within the Trust and also with external partners of the organisation, including Senior Trust Managers. The post holder will support the Assistant Facilities Manager and Facilities Manager in delivering safe and effective Transport services for the Estates and Facilities function.
Overseeing day to day supervision of the Logistics teams which comprises of post, transport and waste services. To assist and contribute to the delivery of a professional and customer focused service to all users across Trust sites working to standards laid down in Trust policies, Trusts Standing Financial Instructions and Transport legislation to provide a safe environment for patients.
