Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist with an interest in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Urology, and Colorectal conditions to join a friendly Pelvic Health Therapy Team. The role involves providing highly skilled and specialised physiotherapy services, predominantly in an outpatient setting, for patients with bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor disorders, as well as obstetric services including classes. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate skilled assessment and treatment techniques, clinical expertise, and effective decision-making, with a strong commitment to training and clinical supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a highly skilled and specialised physiotherapy service in predominantly an outpatient setting.
- Deliver a service to women and men with bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor disorders, and provide an obstetric service including classes.
- Demonstrate skilled assessment and treatment techniques, clinical expertise, and effective decision making.
- Participate in audit projects and maintain a stimulating learning environment, including involvement in the in-service training programme.
- Supervise staff within the team and students on placement.
- Participate in the discharge planning process.

- Advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the current environment and evidence of evidence-based practise in relevant health setting

This post is to provide a highly skilled and specialised physiotherapy service in predominantly an outpatient setting. You will be responsible for providing a service to women and men with bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor disorders as well as providing an obstetric service which will include the provision of classes. You should be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy with HCPC registration and have at least 2 years post graduate NHS experience as a Physiotherapist. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate appropriate CPD activity.
