Role summary
This role is for a High Risk Podiatrist with a specialist interest in managing high-risk patients and wound care, working within an existing team in Powys. The successful candidate will be based in Welshpool or Newtown, responsible for the day-to-day running of the wound care service, providing specialist podiatry to patients with diabetic foot complications. The position involves advanced wound care and casting techniques, along with clinical supervision of junior team members and students. Opportunities for developing specialist knowledge and skills, including gaining an independent prescribing qualification, will be provided.

- Significant postgraduate experience relevant to specialty

- MSc within relevant specialty
- Post-graduate qualification up to post grad diploma level in relevant area
- Non-medical prescribing / Independent prescribing qualification
- Competency as non-medical referrer
- Relevant leadership courses/ qualifications
- Member of Royal College of Podiatry

Job summary
You will work as part of an existing team of podiatrists in Powys and will have a specialist interest in the management of the high-risk patient and wound care. You will be given opportunities in the longer term to develop their own specialist knowledge, skills and competence.
