Essential criteria
- HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist
- BSc Biomedical Science or equivalent in a relevant field
- Specialist Portfolio
- MSc or equivalent Postgraduate qualification in relevant Biomedical Science field
- Extensive knowledge ISO 15189:2012
- Evidence of CPD

- Management qualification
- Post HCPC registration experience as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) within Chemistry
- Participation in 24/7 laboratory service
- Incident/adverse investigation
- External assessment by UKAS

- Experience as a section lead within Chemistry
- Use of QMS tools i.e. QPULSE
- QMS auditor skills
