Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Haematology advanced clinical nurse specialist (ACNS) team. Significant investment has allowed the team to be expanded to 4 fulltime posts. These are outpatient-based posts with roles including providing CNS support, nurse led follow up clinics, pre-assessment clinics and SACT prescribing (training available), participation in MDT meetings and practical procedures such as bone marrow biopsy.
Initial job plans will be appropriate to skills with training available and encouraged e.g. prescribing, SACT prescribing, practical procedures. The ACNSs will work closely alongside the consultant team.
The Haematology department provides care for patients with myeloid malignancies e.g. AML, myelodysplasia; lymphoid malignancies e.g. lymphomas and CLL, myeloma and other malignancies. There is also general haematology work e.g. immune cytopenias. The department also functions as a Haemophil
