Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Radiopharmacy unit. The role involves aiding in the safe and efficient preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use. Full training will be provided, so previous experience in Radiopharmacy, Pharmacy Technical Services, Nuclear Medicine, or GMP is not essential. The successful candidate will contribute to a high-quality, patient-focused service within a dynamic team.

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of good general education (GCSE Level C/4 and above, or equivalent)
  • Obtained/working towards NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent
  • Literate and numerate to degree required for post

Desirable criteria

  • East and South East England 2 day Aseptic Dispensing Course
  • Understanding of aseptic processing is essential for the role
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Must understand a wide range of SOP's or work practices
  • Experience of working in a hospital aseptic unit or similar environment
  • Basic computer literacy (word, excel)
  • Must display a full understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or equivalent
  • Must have an understanding of Quality Management Systems
  • Maintaining clean and hygienic work environments
  • Contamination control (microbial)
  • Radiation decontamination control
  • Awareness of clean environments and/or radiation
  • Trust policy and procedures - knowledge of COSHH
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Good interpersonal skills, liaising regularly with key groups/stakeholders
  • Good organisational skills
